SEO FAQS

Are SEO services worth it?

There are really two ways to answer this question. How much are incremental increases in your search position worth to your business? And what is the cost alternative if you don’t invest in SEO?
The best way to determine if SEO is worth doing for your business is to use this equation to calculate the the value you could generate with a better position

Keyword search volume * expected click-through rate * average conversion rate * average order value

With these values you can assess the cost of SEO against potential ROI over a couple of years investment.

How does SEO work?

SEO stands for search engine optimization. SEO basically helps your website rank higher on search engines like Google and Bing. the main difference between SEO and paid advertising is that SEO is concerned with what is called your organic raning, this means you don’t have to pay for advertsiging space to the search engine to show up. The way you do this is by creating engaging content and optimizing it so that search engines like Google place it toward the top of the search results page when someone is using their search engine.

How do you improve SEO?

The top 5 ways to improve your SEO are:

  1. Improve your site speed. Your site speed has an impact on both your search engine ranking as well as your bounce rate. If your site takes more than 3 seconds to load, 40% of people will abandon it and your search ranking will be negatively impacted.
  2. Produce high quality content. The better content tha you have, the more engaged your users are going to be and will spend more time on your site, which will lead to better search engine rankings.
  3. Optimize your images. First and foremost make sure that all of your images have the right file format and size. They need to bc compressed for web for fast loading speeds. Second if you are strategic with your imagery you can sneak keywords into the titles and descriptions. Just make sure that they actually make sense, you need to actually refelect what is in the image abiding by accessability standards. Remember that search engines today use computer vision, that means they know what is actually in the image, so if your meta image info does not make sense you will get dinged.
  4. Break up your page content with title tags. Your title tags tell the search engines what is the most important content on the page. This is where you want to use variations of your primary keywords starting with <h1> tag, and then going down the page with <h2><h3><h4> and <h5> tags. They look somethinglike this. (notice here the title of this image it: ‘title tag example’

  5. Start blogging. Blogging is the best way to establish consistent fresh engaging content for your website and establish rapport with your user base.
What is on page SEO?

On page SEO looks at what your site or what your page is about. First it’s about the way you approach your SEO strategy for that particular page which guides the way you plan out your content. The best way to approach this strategy is to always focus on a single keyphrase. If you try to optimize the page for multiple terms the search algorithms will get confused and won’t be able to figure out what you are optimizing for. Then you optimize the content for that keyphrase and associated keyphrases for support. The other part of on page SEO is the backend coding. These should be covered for on-page SEO.

  • Title Tags
  • Headings
  • URL Structure
  • Alt Text For images
  • Fast loading pages
  • Mobile Friendliness
  • Page Content
  • Internal Linking
  • Schema Markup
  • Social Tags
  • Core Web Vitals
  • Page Experience
What is Off page SEO?

Off-page SEO is everything you do outside of your website. It really reflects how authoritative and popular your site is. The job of off page SEO is to build the trust and reputation of your website from the outside. It should include:

  • Inbound Links
  • Social Media Marketing
  • Guest Blogging & Guest Posting
  • Unlinked Brand Mentions
  • Influencer Marketing
